  • White Parking Sensors on Black ARB Deluxe Winch Bar

Pretty self explanatory but I got my ARB Deluxe Bar put on today, but the guys said its up to me to change the white parking sensors over to black.

Has anyone been there and done that before? Is it easier to replace them or paint them?

G'day I also got a arb deluxe winch bar fitted today. Mine is a Gxl so no park sensors up front..
Looking at your photo , I think it looks ok & I wouldn't change them.

Don't paint them again. I have a GXL but I had them fitted at time of purchase. Paint is a bit thick and they play up all the time. But I can't get them to play up when I am at Toyota.

I don't think they stand out too much either.
You could always colour code the bar.
If anything the winch control box appears more lairy.

        cheers

I had to replace one of the plastic sensor surrounds after hitting two big Roos. They come colour coded and are about $6 I think. You could always trial a black one to see how it looks.

Can you add the front sensors to the GXL model?

Yes. But it gets it's own button and sound(which is good as you can tell if it is the front or back without looking)

                Steve.
Thanks for the reply Steve, do you buy the kit through Toyota or are there better suppliers to look at?

                Cheers

Is that through Toyota or where did you source them from?

I am curious as to whether you have noticed a change in sensitivity of the sensors (I had a black Prado so can't help with the colour match; however, before you make the investment to change colour, I have found that the sensitivity is off--as if you pushed them forward but the calibration remains the same, such that it warns you within centimetres of the obstruction instead of 1.5 metres.)
