ARB bar strange holes.

Now this is the third bull bar on my car, But its the first one to have these holes the only thing i could think of are parking sensor holes??
So is it possible to retro fit these to a GXL?

Are there 4 of these holes? If so then they are probably for parking sensors. It should be an option if the customer requested it, but I don't see a reason for extra holes if the customer didn't ask for it.

Yes there is 4! I think the crash repairer's must have ordered the wrong one accidently.

It might be cheaper for him to fit front parking sensors for you FREE than to replace the bar. Try your luck.

Good idea. Good thing your bar is colour coded, otherwise the parking sensors would be colour coded and the bar is black.

Very strange. Parking sensor holes would be round, and there would be four of them across the front.

Yes, these are for the parking sensors. They have given you the "deluxe" bar which comes with those holes as standard.

Did you ask for the Deluxe?

Deluxe bar is the type of bar, as opposed to the Sahara bar. Both of which come in variants for those vehicles with sensors and those without.

Yes, mine is a Deluxe-Winch with no sensors, possibly i was asked the sensor question when getting it but cant remember.

As said its either Deluxe or Sahara, both come winch or no winch compatible and parking or no parking sensor compatible, you have got the sensor compatible bar and i really believe its in the fitters best interest to fit the sensors rather than suck up the loss of ordering the wrong bar, colour coding, fitting and then doing it all again + the shipping and repacking the wrong bar.... unless ARB have sent him the wrong one and the refit is at their cost.

Scott... Roo magnet... New years day and then again on the second of Jan ..yep I know the feeling I just got mine back from the panel shop.I don't think that the insurance company is happy.Hadn't had its first service and had to have almost the entire front end replaced,and found out something very interesting..the Airbag activation modules wern't hooked up "completely..that is they were plugged in but not fully home..Both guards, both headlights (Expensive)Grill,Bumper,Condensor,Radiator support frame etc etc..
Went for TJM 13 bar so hopefully if it happens again the bill will be a lot smaller...
