  • Rhino Rack - tray & fishing

    Hey Guys
Looking at getting an alloy tray, to carry more stuff.
But I already have a rhino fishing rod holder, which is great.

From what I can see, these can't be used together? Has anyone given it a crack?

Also, the tray looks to be a pain to take on & off - do you actually have to take every middle connection out?

    Thanks for your help

i am not sure about the fishing rod bit but,in relation to removing the alloy tray ,i thought it was a pain to
remove just the tray and so have a 2nd set of bars for when i only want to leave the bars fitted for other uses, and the tray permanatly fitted to the other set, makes it a bit dearer but the convienence is worth it . [mine are fitted directly to the 3 roof mounts 120s not to the rails that your 150s will have]
New 2015 150s GX 5 seater with floor mats, towbar and a big wish list
Previously a 2004 120s 1KZ GX silver manual with stuff
before that a 1996 RV6 90S with lots of gear

If you have the Rhino multi-purpose holder (http://www.rhinorack.com.au/AccSubCa...olders_54.aspx) for your fishing rods, then you could still mount it to your crossbars if you have enough overhang outside of the alloy tray.

If you want to take the tray off the crossbars, then you have to take the middle connections off. If you have aerobars, then the middle plastic connections are just a quarter turn. If you have the HD bars, then it is a few turns of the screw and rotate the channel nut a quarter turn.

Otherwise, you would leave the tray connected to the crossbars and lift the whole lot off.
