  • Drifta Drawers

Can anyone please tell me if drifta do a set of drawers with the rear seats removed for a VX?
I don't want to ring them just for something like that.

They do, they are the same as the GXL ones. I believe LFaR has a set in his. I opted to have them sit on top of my seats in my VX.

I only have one child so dont see us needing to haul the extra weight around when I dont' need it.

Same as us and I really wish I never sold our outback draws for them, love the driftas but I loved having the outbacks in all the time, the wife did not... The sit on top of the seats Driftas are a really good draw system but, we also have a set in our camper trailer, next time I won't listen to the wife... Hope she does not read this.

Mate here's a picture of my Drifta Draws. I received great service from Drifta and would recommend them to anyone. They would be more then happy to receive your call and discuss your personnel needs.

Also do a search for Drifta, another PP member did a write up recently showing in detail the installation which is identical to mine.

About to push the button on my Drifta Drawer order for my 120 Grande. Very impressed with what Luke and Beechy have done for the Pradopoint 150 guys and some of the 120's also. One of the key things for me is the ability to remove it all at a moments notice, taking no more that 10-15min to remove and put the 3rd row seats back in, as it's not unusual for SWMBO to tell me as I'm about to head out the door for work that she needs the 3rd row back in for an after school sports run or the like!!!
So here's what I'm looking at.

D2D-WT - 2 Drawer system with the slide out table. this will be fitted on the right hand (drivers) side.

On the Left hand side I will order the Drifta Slide System (DSS) which is nicely integrated into the top of the drawer system. I am choosing this option as opposed to the DS50 Platinum Drop slide for a number of reasons. 1) Price. Nearly half the price of the DSS. 2) Weight - can't recall the actual figures, but the DS50 Platinum Drop slide is bloody heavy (30-40 kgs?) 3) Space - The DS50 Platinum Drop Slide takes up a fair bit of real estate in the rear (roughly 600mm wide x 900mm deep) compared to the Drifta offering 4) I have the ARB 60l fridge which due to it's larger footprint, is not as high as a lot of the other brands, so it will be easier to reach in to get a beer. If the wife starts to complain that she cant reach in to get stuff out of the bottom of the fridge, then I'll pack a copy of the yellow pages in the back for her!

And to allow me to store stuff up against the fridge and to stop the gear from falling into the drawer when I slide it out, I am going for a Fridge divider also...
Shown here on the drivers side. mine will be opposite.

Just deciding now whether I do a road trip down to Drifta, which is tempting following reading LFAR's trip report down that way or to get the gear shipped up and install myself.
Can anyone tell me if Drifta still offer a discount to PPers?

Sounds like a plan mate! I'm a man of leisure as of next Friday but get to hold onto the company car for a month after that so if a road trip is the go, then she has a vehicle whilst I'm away so I'll need to install prior to early June. ( not sure how long Drifta take from time of order...)
Have you thawed out from last night?

Wow mate, great time but f me it was cold! May reconsider the next trip in a few weeks as an overnighter!

I have been meaning to call since I found out about your job. Dates work weel, usually only takes 2 to 3 weeks to make from the camper and the 4wd drawers experience. Find out from RACQ tomorrow what (if any they will cover) and let you know.

I will do that Matt, keen to get the drawers in sooner than I had planned. The inside of my car got trashed on my 10 day trip last week.
