  • Headrest Screens

    Hello

I have had a good search and can't find much so was wondering if you can help!

I am wanting to put screens in my GXL headrests and have them play off a dvd player and have wireless bluetooth headphones so my 3 year old can watch when we are on long car trips

Can you please let me know what you have done and what is the best brands and way to do

    Thank you for your help

    Brent

G'day Brent and welcome to Pradopoint. Here are a couple of links to get you started which I found by searching.

Also take some time and Introduce yourself in the Introductions thread and update you profile by putting you whereabouts in the location field...Please also make yourself familiar with the Rules of using this mighty fine forum.

I myself have a unit a couple of 9" DVD headrests bought through DigOptions, however I dont see any more on their website... Ebay generally has some good deals but try and buy locally incase of any issues.
    Good luck

      Hey Brent,

I got mine from Matt of dig_options, but they are almost identical to these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Headrest-...ht_8536wt_1140

Doesn't look like Matt is selling his anymore so i can't comment on these exactly, but like i said they are very similar. The ones i have are great, screen resolution is good, sound is good and happy kids are priceless Our driving consists of a lot of corrugations (5hrs solid) and they don't skip unless you hit a major bump.

      Hope this helps
Our 6 year old and 3 year old try their hardest to make sure there is no time or money for the other baby

        Hi Brent,

I got a couple of units from Xtrons (http://au.xtrons.com/HEADREST-car-dvd.Html) in Hong Kong about 12-15 months' ago. They arrived within 5 days, very easy to fit. I had a problem with one of the units and expected the worst, but to their full credit they responded to my complaint by return and ended up replacing the unit free of charge even though they said they would only repair it. A mate of mine bought a pair for his car and has had no problems whatsoever. I got the HD903 ones which fit well in the 150 GXL. The kids love them, and being able to play games, music, look at photos as well as movies is an added bonus.

        Cheers
        John.

Just on a side topic I priced the Toyota option when I bought mine and they came back with $3500, they also seemed to understand when I laughed and said the kids could make do with their portable units/ ipad. Can buy a lot of cheap units at $100 a throw before it becomes better than the Toyota unit
