Hi all,
Just for your info, just had official words from ARB on my cracked antenna bracket on my ARB bullbar.
The crack happened when I had my Codan 3040 auto tuner mounted for my Simpson trip.
ARB has just replied that HF antenna is not supported on the bullbar, therefore it is not covered under warranty.
I am not sure if that is specific to any types of HF antenna, but they did not ask for the weight or size of the antenna.
The local store do offer a tab that I can weld in myself though.
Fair enough I guess, but be aware if that is what you plan to do. I did not know that was the case.
Just out of interest I called up a few ARB stores and asked them about the suitability of a 4kg antenna tuner on the ARB bullbar antenna tabs and they all said that should be OK! The 3040 weights 3.15kg including spring and whip.
