ARB 150 Series Front / Side Rails Discontinued

Hey Guys,

Ordered a set of these a few days ago. I received a call from the local ARB dealer today explaining these are now discontinued and being replaced by a side rail which extends from the bullbar all the way to the rear wheel arch, illuminating the need for the factory side steps...

Anyone else heard this? He couldn't give me any ETA and he said he has cancelled my order for this particular part. Having said that, he said he'd do the full side rails for the same price when they are released which is interesting.

Interested to hear if anyone else has heard anything!

This is a shot I took at the Melbourne 4 x4 show last August, apparently this is the prototype of the side rails and steps. No the best shot, but they look alright to me. I'll enquire down here at ARB what the go is.

Apparently the new side protection steps that are soon to be released come in three parts... (1) The actual side protection step, (2) a small return piece that goes at the front of the step (if not using a front side rail), (3) the new front side rail that connects directly to the side step (small return piece not needed).

Very interesting, thanks guys. Great to see the photo, can't wait to order the now. Although for the same price it makes me wonder if he will actually keep his word considering you get a new step and all.

TJM also do rails and steps, two separate pieces but u need the step to do the rail, I have the step but no rail. The rail attaches to the step at the front.

Looks like they have taken the front mudflap off to fit. I hope you like stone chips...

Nah they're cheap as piss so he probably will do them for same price.

They're due for February production as far as my arb dude knows

I was quoted $1475 today for the steps and side rails, which would obviously require finance minister approval... and that might be a struggle.

Has anyone received a better quote, in NSW???

I wonder why they would do that, surely the rail will sit behind the edge of the guard and not interfere with the mud flap?

I'm after just the side steps without the rails so it won't bother me anyway...

Not sure if you saw above post, my dealer said he'd match the price. Looks like he'll lose $1000 if he keeps his word :S

I notice that ARB are running MT ATZ's on the Prado at the show, obviously the tyre of choice for the 150's.

Called ARB head office sales team today.

The bloke was very unhelpful and had no idea. Couldn't give me pricing or an ETA and didn't seem interested in talking about ARB products altogether!

Interesting some dealers know more?

Spoke to guys at ARB Rockingham and they told me they know nothing about them, went to ARB Mandurah (as they were locking up) and they were happy to tell me they are about $1200 colour coded and fitted with a 6 week wait at the moment.
Still to get finance minister approval for them, but grabbed a set of bash plates for $400 from them in the mean time.

I find it hard to believe (not you Kev, the dealer), how can one dealer know and not another, especially head office sales?
