The only m8 bolts I have here are used and funny lengths, I'd rather use new bolts, I know exactly where new ones are in my own workshop which is the better part of a days drive away so I'm holding out till the weekend.

    I was impressed with that.

I've organised some steel grating which I'll hopefully be able to cut to shape and bolt down somehow.

Just had a call from my local ARB to see if I have fitted them yet, if I had a diesel or a petrol and if they went on OK. Turns out they don't fit the Petrol V6 models - cross member is different. Picking my car up soon so will post some pics.

What's different with the v6 models? Did they say?

i was quoted just over $1000 for side steps only plus fitting from ARB, pretty pricey

Hi guys, just to let you know that we're working on a solution to cater for the V6 150s as well. As has been mentioned, the different transmission cross member is creating an issue.

The engineers will be using my vehicle to develop a solution so I'll be happy to let you know when it's been finalised.

                  Cheers, Sam.

Well in the end decided to keep my order. Sam has been extremely helpful in getting them sorted so thanks again mate.

The Prado is booked in for Tuesday 23rd April to have the rails and steps fitted assuming the paint queue stays on track in Sydney.

Have not heard good things about roo systems. You get what you pay for with these things...

I think this came up earlier in this thread or in another but I don't think they are even close to the TJM ones I have can't comment compared to ARB.

I would cough the couple of extra hundred for the TJM ones, the build quality is very average.

Do you have to drill the chassis for the Roo or TJM sliders?
