Colour Coded ARB Bar

Hi All, I recently came across a roo, which has since met its maker and my insurance is replacing my bumper with a bull bar. I have a Crystal Pearl Altitude and was thinking about getting the bull bar colour coded. I was just going to get the same colour, but the guy I bought it from suggested I get the bull bar done in graphite. Does anyone have a crystal pearl prado with a graphite colour coded bar that they could post a pic of?? I would be very grateful as I am having a hard time visualising what it would look like. He reckoned it looked awesome, but I would hate to get it done and not like it!

Don't have that colour bull bar, however I too hit a roo, at about 110km/h and all it did was crack the perspex number plate. So I can now say the ARB bar has paid for itself!

Just to be clear, I was doing that speed on the Bruce Highway south of Mackay, in the 110 zone. Roo was about 40-50 kgs and once the bar and winch was finished the ARB bash plates took over and steered him under and out via the drivers side rear wheel. I'm sure he didn't feel much.

Only 5 days since saying I wanted it, was in stock cause of an order that never went thru.... 1700 installed plus fog lights thrown in free .

Yeah is a great price, was sitting in an Adelaide store.... Was originally going black, but when he said he had the graphite and I could have it at no extra cost I grabbed it..... He knows I'm going to spend a bit with him so gonna look after me and my build up of my rig...

Sorry to hear about your ARB experience, I'm surprised with the growth in Gladstone someone hasn't taken on the franchise. Anyway, just before Xmas I had an alum roof rack fitted for our trip. The height is approx 230mm above the "B" pillar and is fairly consistent along the length of the vehicle. I measured from the roof skin to top rail.

Hope this is of some help, while it's expensive (ARB standard!), the build quality is excellent and I can't fault it.

To the OP, Sorry mate have not seen the combo you are looking at. I think there are pics of various Black bars on White in the 150 Bullbar Pictures Thread though if that helps? HERE

Personally though, after seeing a couple in the real, as well as the pics in the thread, I reckon that the Crystal Pearl colour coded bars look sh!t hot and would be the way I would go.

ARB Rockhampton was where I got a lot of my stuff (OME Lift, Bar etc and all up around 7 grands worth of stuff). Whilst the products are fantastic, I didn't really like the service from that place - it was very much a snatch your money and not give a toss after the transaction. I waited a 3 months for my gear which I didn't have an issue with as I was told this up front. I got my gear right at the time a couple of long term and excellent employees had resigned as they had had enough of the place (this was mid last year).

I tried again with them just this week (mainly due to a lack of other suppliers of gear in Gladstone) and asked for a quote on the alloy roof rack as well as an indication of height. I got an inflated price (higher than an ARB reseller in Gladstone would you believe it) and no measurement. I replied and asked what the measurements would be (as I am worried about fitting into my garage still) and got this back, "I don’t have that measurement" and nothing else in the reply. Ok well, F-U pal, that doesn't help.

I won't be spending another cent in that store

Which was another factor in my decision to go the TJM route. I really like the look of the ARB Sahara Bar, but the price and local service convinced me otherwise. IMO the TJM stuff is just as good anyway (Ford and Holden kind of a thing I spose )

I have found Caitlyn at TJM Rocky great to deal with, can't do enough for you.

I really don't generally like to bag a place and if I am honest, some people I know have had really good dealings with ARB, however of late there just seems to be more negative feedback than positive.

However, if you had a genuine issue with the service of ARB I reckon it is worth the time to report it to ARB Head Office. I agree with what you guys are saying re service from Rocky ARB. They quoted over RRP for a Redarc BCDC1240 of $635.

I will get the bar from them and see how they go with that (ordered it yesterday) and wait on purchasing my drawers, lift, rack etc.

They wouldn't even round down $60 to $2k for the bar.

hey cliffo, yeah good desicion making process.
i've seen a few black bars on white prado's and they appear very 'mining fleet' as per the GX model with non-colour coded bits.
stress the colour match when painting.

Anyone any good with photo shop? might be a way of getting the graphite bar on a white Prado.

Personally I would go with white on white, but I am a bit biased.
