I have a Crystal Pearl Altitude and was thinking about getting the bull bar colour coded. I was just going to get the same colour, but the guy I bought it from suggested I get the bull bar done in graphite. Does anyone have a crystal pearl prado with a graphite colour coded bar that they could post a pic of?? I would be very grateful as I am having a hard time visualising what it would look like. He reckoned it looked awesome, but I would hate to get it done and not like it!

i've seen a few black bars on white prado's and they appear very 'mining fleet' as per the GX model with non-colour coded bits.
stress the colour match when painting.
my graphite bar came up sweet with colour matching. here is the link http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post379315

Yeah I have a white pearl and will be painting the front and rear bars in the same dark grey metallic as seen in the grill.
Yet to find out the name of this colour as we are taking it down to the shop later this week. Fitting is scheduled for a couple of weeks, mid February.
Panel beater talked us out of the white pearl as laying the pearl is nearly impossible to get spot on when you have all the twisty bits and over spray around the hoops, ribs and uprights. Colour easy, pearl hard, on curvy bits, ins and outs. ????? Flat surface ok.
You may need two or three layers of pearl and with over spray you can not guarantee that you have not put on too much or little. Also I was told the end product would end up about 9 layers thick and if this was to chip it would leave black showing through the white. Four or five of white, couple of pearl and two clear coats over the top. I'm sure the white would look the biz, and I had my heart set on this colour, however if you need to get a bit of it sprayed they have to do the whole thing again. A simple metallic can be touched up in small areas. Any way I guess it will be unique if nothing else.
Maybe the panel beater just spun me a whopper of a yarn too. Got no idea, the only thing I have ever painted was a house?.
