New toyota alloy bar

Hi all. I'm new to the forum. Just picked up my new gxl yesterday (actually got it before Easter, but had to return to the dealer to fit the bar... Took them a week!!!) I was surprised how well the bar suited the lines of the car, then realised it is a different design to what I had seen before. Apologies if you have already covered this... But if not, anyone else spot Toyota's subtle change?

The first one (shown with spotties) It's a bit smaller.

I can't see any provision for the headlight washers. Is there a different bar for VX and Kakadu models?

They stay on the original bar, there is plenty if clearance between the bar and bumper for them to work as normal.

I think you've just convinced me to go with the Toyota bar, the original was too big, but your one looks much better. Will have to make sure my local Toyota dealer can get this bar.

you probably have more protection with the standard bumper than an alloy toyota bar..

Unless you fit a winch, or at least a winch cradle.
