Genuine Cargo Barrier 150 Series 7 Seater

Hi,

We have just fitted a genuine Toyota cargo barrier behind the 2nd row of seats in our GXL. When I went to refit the fridge I discovered that the barrier is quite loose. i have checked all four of the mounting knobs and they are done up tight. I have spoken to the Dealer who fitted it and they are telling me that it is normal. I can actually grab hold of ours and move it about 10mm in both up and down and forward and back directions.

Has anyone else had one fitted and do they have the same movement. It just doesn't feel right. Our Hyundai's cargo barrier was rock solid once fitted.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Just taken delivery of GXL with factory (dealer fitted) cargo barrier. No real movement in the barrier but there is some "give" in the individual mounting points. I found this out when I removed the barrier to try the 3rd row seats. The (20 page) installation instructions left in the glove box show plenty of fixings behind the wheel arch covers and below the seats. I think that these may be loose in your case.
