I don't know which way to go yet. Not a fan of dashmounts. But being two doors, and sometimes passengers need to go to the rear and I have to slide the front seat. I think seat rail mount wouldn't work in this situation.

      Tablet Holder

I might look at the old Velcro solution as well. One of the three (seat mount/window/Velcro might work!)
I use this exomount one for my iPad mini

Works well so far and sits down lower so it doesn't impede the wife's view (she's a shorty too). Just have to see if its still attached by the time I get to birdsville. Looks like it'll be fine though.

Also look at Brodit mounts. They make mounts for individual vehicles and I found the one that fit in the vent the best.

I'm looking at afew tablet holders. Are you happy with the exomount?

Just to update - I had gone with RAM CAN base and RAM tab holder. I don't like mounting on the screen - especially when I want to mount 9"+ tablets.
So, RAM got this holder base which fits in the cup holder with switchable mount - between phone and tablet.

Here is the pic of my tab s2 mounted on RAM can base in my cup holder.

The problem I've got with the tablet mount is that tab s2 charger is on the same side as the holder arm is - so cannot connect to the charger while running. But, depends on the usage - with mine, it can last whole day without it going flat.

I made this one up with RAM mounts and a steel base which bolts to the seat mount. Click image for larger version

This is how I mounted my tablet.

Cheap and solid. 4 Velcro tabs on the tablet cover, it rests on the little ledge above the climate control and the cover is stuck to the dash mat.
I'm sure I got this idea from someone on this forum. If I need the reverse camera I just flip the tablet up onto the dash and flip it back down when I'm done reversing.
It went well offroad on Saturday around Julimar, no excessive movement.

I used RAM-Mount equipment for mounting my 7''-tablet in my 120. Seat-rail mounted post, works fine:
