Not sure which forums would be most suitable for posting this, so the accessory one it is....
While I was under the vehicle yesterday putting some front swaybar relocator brackets in I had a bit of a look around in preparation for the next round of mods which will hopefully involve going to 285/70/17's. My original plan was going to be a 3" lift with a diff drop kit to ensure I had sufficient clearance for the tyres, but when I had a look at the clearance between the BD bash plates and the the bottom of the front diff, there is only about 10mm.
Has anyone with BD bash plates successfully installed a diff drop kit and how did you go about doing it? Were additional spacers required to drop the plates as well and did they cause any problems with the transmission plate fixing between the chassis-cross member brace or did you space that down too?
On a side note, I'm glad I got the front sway-bar relocation brackets as when I was having a good look around during the install I noticed the sway bar was just clipping the bottom of the LHS spring seat on my bilstein struts!
