  • Nudgebar on Kakadu Obsructs Front Camera?

Has anyone fitted a nudgebar to a Kakadu? Am wanting to fit an ECB low loop bar, but am uncertain if it will block vision to the front camera. I'm thinking it's too close to call looking the pics from the ECB website (below).

The website states compatibility with the parking sensors but mentions nothing of the camera. I'm having no luck getting an answer out of ECB or my local dealer either. You'd think ECB would have tested it given their test vehicle clearly has the camera!

    Any experiences most appreciated.

    Cheers,

    David.

David, that will definitely block the camera.

The angle that the front camera points is exactly in line with the top of that bar.

Perhaps you can get someone to hold a tube in the same position and have a look at the screen. It would appear that about half the screen would be blocked by the nudge bar.

Thanks Dan & Adnrew. I rolled up & taped a sheet of paper at the 76mm diameter tonight and using a spacer taped it to the vehicle at a similar position to where the bar would sit. You're right on the money Andrew - obstructs about half the field of view Annoying - with a bullbar it would be easier to relocate the camera (as Ozzygs did at http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...ise-control#11) but with a nudgebar I can't imagine being able to do this neatly.

Back to the drawing board I guess, as there's also the problem of mounting front recovery points together with the nudgebar. Maybe I'll have to settle for HID high beam upgrades and not worry about the nudgebar.

        Cheers,

        David.
