Recovery points: Supply and Installation

Hi all

I am bit new to this. But I reckon one of the things I need is a set of Recovery points on my 150 Prado.
(Have been doing a bit of sand driving lately)

Where is the best place to go to get them installed?
I live in Perth, south of the river.

Hi wazafi,

I got a set of Roadsafe recovery points at Rockingham ARB. They can fit them for you as well.

Got mine fitted at Coastal 4x4 in Jandakot with no problems.

Might just installed them myself. I got a quote of $100 to $200 for just installation, after getting over-price quote of $190 for the parts. I saw on eBay they are only selling them at $140 (~)

You'll get them at Autobarn for around the same price as on eBay. That's where I got mine. Installation is straight forward. Instructions come in the pack.

Is it still an easy install if you have an ARB Bar installed.
Any of you guys have an ARB Winch Bar

It's a bit fiddly but very easy to install. You can find all the info relating to the installation in the thread "Recovery point". All the people here are very helpful.

Does anyone know if you need to take the ARB BB off to install the Roadrunner recovery points?

I just bought my roadsafe ones from supreme motor spares in Bentley, the only charged me $130 for mine, thought it was a great deal, they are dead easy to install, first one may take 15-20 minutes to install to see how it is done and the second no more than 5 minutes.

Silly question, did it come with bolts?
I got mine from a forum member and they didn't come with bolts at all.. I'm guessing I use bolts that are already on chassis/ arb bar? Haven't looked yet, but assumed they would come with bolts.

Yep mine came with the bolts. I had 3 bolts originally in the TJM bar and now have 2 of the supplied ones which were a higher grade. The reason that i now have 2 is that the recovery points cover the middle bolt hole.

The ones I got are from road runner link below, they came with fitting bolts.

I realise not a solution to your problem but maybe you could get the same type.
