Hi All,
All set to buy a bulbar for the 2014 Prado. Had a look at the ARB bar fitted and the outside tubes looked level with the top of the head lights.
Question to those with the ARB bar do the head lights reflect/ get blocked by bull bar ?
Are the other brand of bull bars better/ same in regards to the tube and the head lights ?

I have the ARB one colour coded. The drop down lights DTR lights have a sticker on them up to the edge of the bar and does not reflect back. Because I have a white bar I have put some black on the back of the top of the bar as when the lights/high beam on it does reflect back. But that solved it. I like the bar and it fits well and I think looks good and is strong.

So what replaces the DTR, ARB just tape them up bar one LED bulb and not replace them with anything?

Scoota... after months of shopping around/ reading reviews/ listening to people's advice and guidance, at one stage please find the following are the different bar that I would have like to install on my beast:-

But, I decided to go for the [ATTACH=CONFIG]17015[/ATTACH]
I am happy with it, a job well done on the color coding.

Hi I just ordered the ARB deluxe bar and the 2" OME lift, how does the lift affect the drive quality? is stiffer? would appreciate your input.

Who fitted yours? I've got one too - I'll post my photos soon - but it's installed differently. I have a bracing plate that uses the bottom recovery point hole, another hole further up and 3 holes in the bar - you don't seem to have fitted it. I also took my recovery points off because the bar has them built in - any reason you kept yours?

you'll never look back mate.
I put the ARB bar on first without the lift and it made drive quality much better, then the lift made it even better again!

I fitted mine myself back in Jan, the bracing plate is fitted you just need to use 2 flat plate washers supplied by Amts to keep the plate square. Agree the bar has its own recovery points I just like the one Amts supplied and good to support fellow PPM. I caught up with Ian from Wolf (I think that was his name) at the 4x4 show here in Perth last week. Had a good discussion regarding the bar. Waiting for delivery of the winch and a flip up number plate holder so it hides the winch. When compared to the other bars its a lot closer towards the body, helps with approach and departure angles. Its surprising how may people come up asking about the bar and comment on how good it looks. I have only seen one other in WA at the 4x4 show last week at that the new WA supplier.
