  • Genuine alloy bullbar to TJM/ARB Steel

Hi all, quite a noobie to the prado scene.
Im looking at slowly building up my 150 Series GXL but the 1st thing that I want to do is change from an alloy bulbar straight to an ARB/TJM steel bar.

I am wondering will I need to source another bumper to cut due to the genuine bar already having a cut bumper to suit.

    Anyone help would be great!

    Cheers

If you have a facelift MY14 and want to sell the factory bar, I may be interested.

If you go for the TJM bar you can buy the infill panels instead of cutting another bumper.
White 150 GX, TJM t13, TJM scrub bars steps, TJM underbelly protection, Kaymar rear bar, matt black speedy avalanches with mickey T ATZ' P3s, ARB BP 51 suspension, Heat exchange shower, Safari snorkel, on board air tank, custom rear drawers, wind cheeta rack, custom maxtrax mounts, in dash ozi explorer, cargo barrier and more!

I can measure the bumper cut for my T3 and you can see if you have enough material left? I would avoid using the TJM trim pieces because it seems that few are happy with getting paint to adhere properly. Fido has left them black as is so have a look at her build for shots of the pieces unpainted.

Sorry just got home, will take a couple of photos with the phone and post them up tomorrow. Bars are much of a muchness. I think the TJM T3 gives a better approach angle than the ARB Sahara but I would probably buy the ARB deluxe over the T13. Really whatever you like best. The ARB bars take a larger diameter fog light and I was able to fit Narva LED DRLs in the T3 bar very easily. A bit harder job on the ARB deluxe bar on the ute.

Thanks Corine for posting that shot.

Lousy phone pics but should give you an idea.

On the side this is how much meat is needed

                And at the front

Overall the bit outlined in red is what is required. Looks exactly the same as Fido's black in fill pieces.

If I can get home early enough today I will take some real photographs and replace these.

Thanks for that! If I get time I'll grab the tape measure before heading to work tonight
