      Damn tabmonty!

Though I think this thread is in the wrong section, they are some damn fine drawers you have built there. Are you a chippy by chance?

Are the LEDs turned on by switch or is it like a fridge?

          Hi Madkore,

Thanks for the feedback, yes I too think post is in wrong spot, didn't realise until finished, no not a chippy, the lights just have a cig plug through the left side and plugs into a socket with a switch on it, I'm happy with the way they turned out, not bad for a first attempt.

If you feel the need for a second attempt I can supply the doner vehicle, or would be more than happy to take them off your hands

Very Nice - I'm gearing up and purchasing a new fridge now and will want drawers in the future so was wondering:
                        1) Did you remove the Seats First? (I have the GXL with seats in the floor),
                        2) How high are the drawers?
                        3) How high are your fridges?

Just trying to work out how tall my new fridge can be because I am tossing up between 70L & 100L which both have same footprint.

The LED lights might have found a use for the plug in the cargo bay.

                          Hi parses,

No seats still in, just remove the 4 anchor points and bolt drawers to same fixings with longer bolts.

The drawers are a wedge type about 235 at front and about 150 at rear due to the floor not being level,

Fridges are 40L Engels, not sure of the height, check out the Engel web site

                          Good luck,

                            Gday Tabmonty

Draws look great, Any chance you have a cutting list as I'm in the process of gathering ideas. Did you incorporate side wings as well?

                              Hi adamc29:
I've just started on a unit of my own and I thank (Tabmonty for giving me a bit of a direction with his thread) to incorporate a large 100L Evakool fridge, storage shelf and drawer. I found the hardest part was to get the RHS the right height so it could insert past the door.

Dimensions I've used - and I have had to adjust along the way are:

                              Base - 850mm deep X 1050mm wide
Front RHS 380 high - this is by chance almost a perfect match for the 3rd row drink holding ledge.
                              Front LHS 780 High
Both sides are lower at the back (because of the wedge mentioned above).

I think I probably could have gotten bigger shelving space but

I am now finishing off using marine carpet, contact spray and plastic angle from Bunnings and awaiting the fridge drawer slides and T latch from eBay. For the drawer I couldn't get blue pastic boat trailer sliders but I did find some plastic edging in Bunnings that works pretty well.

Next step will be to try and work in some side wings to maximise the use of space.
