Do we have confirmation of any of the facelift bars being made in Australia? I know that ARB are making some components off-shore, but hopefully the bars are still here. I would love to go the TJM as I believe they're still made here in Brisbane, but I don't like the look of facelift bar, so ARB is the front-runner at the moment.

I got the ARB deluxe winch bar colour coded white on today and it looks awesome. I was worried about the drooping headlights, but it looks good. I was going for the AFN bar and got tired of waiting. The ARB doesn't have big loops like the OEM alloy bar. You need to see one in the flesh, looks sooooo much better. Really happy with my choice.

            Here you go Mr Moth
They actually put a piece of black sticker on the lower part of the drooping light so it doesn't shine up the back of the bar. You can still see all the lights.
I wanted the AFN bar but to get it here and colour code and install it was cheaper to get the ARB. Plus I know there are more bolt on bits that align with the ARB rather that having to test to see if a certain protection place mates up to the AFN bar. Very happy with the choice of bar.

                  At a guess I'd say 2200-2400

It cost me $2400 for my colour coded ARB bullbar. I wanted the AFN bar but it was going to be a stuff around for me because I had to find someone locally to spray it and install it. The overall cost for an AFN bar is not worth it. I am happy with my colour coded ARB deluxe winch bar, it is an aggressive looking bar.

There are a few of these getting around my area, in white too. Definitely one of the best bars along with TJMs version.

I Went in to order a Prado Facelift TJM T13 bullbar today at my local TJM store and was ready to lay down some hard earned cash. I had a good look over the display Bullbar and hesitated as I think that build quality was below average. There wasn’t a decent weld on the whole bar and the paint job wasn’t great. I checked their other display bullbars and came to the same conclusion. It put me off buying the TJM today.

It looks like the only decent option is the ARB, but I think its design is flawed for the Facelift Model. I sent an enquiry into ARB to see if they will be changing their current bar to better fit the facelift model.

One can only hope for a better fitting and quality bar.

Unfortunately I very much doubt that ARB will redesign their bullbar. I've gone through the same dilemma you are now. Had an ARB bar ordered since not long after getting the facelift Prado last November. But when the "redesigned" bar wasn't so redesigned I cancelled it. Been trying to decide between TJM and AFN now for ages. In the end I ordered the TJM a couple of weeks ago as at least it encorporates the new front end, and I figured if there's any problems the store is just down the road. I kind of gave up waiting for the AFN as I'm not sure when it's coming and it's untested, with only one retailer interstate.

I'm hoping my TJM bar doesn't have the issues you mention... The only T13 bullbar they had on display a while ago that I looked at (not a Prado bar) didn't look too bad from what I could tell. In the wait for my bar, I might have to pop in during the week and have a look at the new display bar, as I'm guessing we're going to the same store.

I went in to order a prado bar, I didn't see one just the display t13. Sorry I'll amend my post. Yes the Fyshwick store.

Ok, yep same store, saves me a trip if there's no Prado bar on display. Well I'll keep my fingers crossed that mine is problem free!

It seems very subjective between both ARB and TJM, same as Holden and Ford etc. In regards to build quality and finish, I know a few people from both camps who swear they'll never buy again due to problems and recommend the other brand. Maybe just depends on how lucky or unucky you are. In the end I decided I had to take a punt either way and the TJM got the tick as it incorporated the new front end. I figured worst case if I really don't like it, the TJM requires less of a bumper cut so there's still the option of going to ARB in the future.

The ecb may be an option but expensive. Let me know when you get you bar. I'd be interested in how good it looks.
