  • Spare Wheel Carrier - Any Recommendations?

I do a lot of long 4WD trips around WA with my 2013 GXL and want a second spare wheel carrier as a backup. Researching my options and came up with these 2:

    http://www.kaymar.com.au/vehicles/to...20July2011.php
    http://jcafleetservices.com.au/custo...wheel-carrier/

The Kaymar option is a full bumper replacement and is $3000. Not sure I like the look of the back with two wheels tho.

With the JCA option I can only put up the 6th rear seat and not the 7th, but it can be removed if I need the extra seat or want to sell it. This one is $1100.

Has anyone added a second spare wheel carrier, and what company/brand did you go with? Any thoughts or recommendations?

chuck the tyre on the roof rack

for the amount of times you will carry a second spare this may be the budget alternative for you

Mate try the 4WD accessories shops. Below is a link to the opposite lock ones.

Thanks Sol. They are similar to the Kaymar option, but not sure I want two on the back as I don't really like the look. Preferring the roof mount or interior mount at the moment so far.

Mate understand that. Just showing you there is more options.
You do not need to fit both carriers either.
Wish you luck with your decision. If I travel I want the rear bar for jerry cans not for spares.
