Hey Shonky, from experience. Pay the $300 for them to install. It's worth it.
Took me 2 days, and a lot of trouble, as the instructions are terrible.

Yes you need to drill holes and tighten up nuts from under the car.
As for the parts, it's a generic pack of parts, especially the spacers, so you have left over you don't need, but keep thinking you do.

Don't get me wrong, they are a great unit, very reliable and strong, no rattle noises over bump tracks or corrigations.

But just a PITA to install.
    Geoff

Im not Bogged - I've just lost traction. . . . . and now I'm showing the wife why I bought those Maxtrax, and the tyre deflator, and the compressor, and the bullbar, and the winch, and a lot of other goodies I've hidden in the Prado

your not wrong about the instructions there crap, it took me about 2hrs to read the instructions and get my head around it and a good night sleep and then i started fresh in the morning and it took about 4hrs a few swear words and i got it done.
      thanks for the advice.

and sits the same hight after drawer install as it did with the 3rd seats.

      finished product and very happy.

Where's the sence of adventure! Your gonna pay some pleb to play with your baby . Yeah daunting at first and a lot if instruction but not really that hard. The boys are correct, it will take some time but at the other end your all good and kinda makes more sence. You need the vehicle specific instructions. I installed these last week end in the back of the new 150. You need to drill out two holes that are already there and bolt the threadsert in to it. This created the permanent thread in the car. You need to drill out two other existing holes and as said run s bolt through to the under side. Me and tge 12 year old son / mate did this. You get the vehicle specific instruction and it tells you how to bolt the modules together and then how to space the struts across the modules and what bolt holes you use. To be honest it kinda lines it self up . You need to have a look at how the draw retainers come out of the back so the draws come out but you kinda want to know that for when you spill shit in them. Locate em loosely , bolt in the side trim kits, which centre everything and tighten her all up. Cargo barrier in and suck s cold can and admire your cleverness. I'll nr home next Thursday and am more than happy to be your online/phone or smoke signal support. Let me know. Now the wireless/ amp/ stereo control/ subwoofer/ speaker install ...... That's another story and had a concerning amount of difficulty. But slim dusty " hauling for the double t" needs big sound! Kaindog
