  • ARB colour coded Bull Bar

    Hi All,

I'm new to Prado Point have recently bought a 2010 150 series. Loving the car having upgraded from a 2008 Hilux.
The car has come with a premium ARB bar but has a couple of smallish rust marks where it has had stone chips etc.
My question is what would be the cost of giving the bar a re spray before i go adding my wish list to it.
I look forward to hearing from you soon
    Cheers
    Glen

I would think $250ish give or take depending on who does it, plus any costs involved in removing and replacing it if that is deemed necessary.

    Cheers Andrew

Here in Melbourne, ARB charge $250 for colour coding. My mate got his fitted by a 4WD store and they use a local spray painter who charges $450. They did a shit job. TJM charged me $450 to colour code my bar, very happy with the paint job.

Or look at the price of getting it powder coated. In my experience its stronger, less likely to scratch.
Would cost a little more but worth it in the long run

It does depend on what colour you want.

Im not Bogged - I've just lost traction. . . . . and now I'm showing the wife why I bought those Maxtrax, and the tyre deflator, and the compressor, and the bullbar, and the winch, and a lot of other goodies I've hidden in the Prado

Hi Glenn, I got a colour coded ARB delux bar fitted to my MY2014 prado last March. A month after purchase small rust blemishes were noticed around welds and bolt holing! I sent an email to ARB - not a reply- I suggested they bolting be o/o ss. Not a big cost but some high tensile bolts with nylex nuts would be a good upgrade.
