150 Towbar advice

Hi All,

if i was to disregard price, what would be peoples recomendation for a twobar brand on my 150? They both do the same job and so far as i can determin te main difference is Hayman Reese sits under the bumper and Toyota cuts it?

Wynnum Towbars in Brisvegas make a cracker that sits behind the bumper and mounts to the chassis.

I went with genuine as I couldn't find an aftermarket one that retained the trailer stability control.

Thanks Guys, as i am in Melbourne i think i will be going HR. I don't really want the bumper cut.

I have a HR towbar. Sits at about the same level as the exhaust tip, helps protect the exhaust somewhat i reckon. Check my build thread, there's a photo there somewhere.

what are the prices like out your way?

I've been looking at getting a tow bar in Perth, Parkside in Perth have their own brand of tow bar, which I believe is a copy of the HR for $685 installed.

Another place was charging $725 for the parkside tow bar, Auto Extra was charging $685 for the HR and I found a Mobile installer charging $720 for the HR.

I'm actually considering the mobile installer. Seems a decent price for the convenience.
