  • Sandgrabber Mats - Reviews and Feedback?

    Hello All,

I am looking forward to collecting my new Prado in a few days and have started organising a few bits and pieces.

First off I have ordered the ScanGauge II and window mount which should be great - particularly for fuel consumption in the V6!

But what I would really appreciate is some feedback on the Sandgrabba Mats. They are relatively expensive compared to the generic types you can buy from Supercheap Auto etc. and I would like to know if they are worth the extra coin?

We will head to the beach a bit and I also will be on construction sites during the week.

I need to chat to Sandgrabba to find out how much the one for the cargo area is but would appreciate any feedback or guidance.

    Thanks for your help.

I have them in my 120, one of the better things I have bought, highly recommended.

    Cheers Andrew

Well worth the extra $$ IMO. Sandgrabbers were the first item I bought for the Prado and have saved my carpets from spills from the kids (& I) many times over...

          Thanks Andrew and craigm,

I will add them to the top of the list.

Also, I should note that when I say "new Prado" - it is actually secondhand but new to me... the interior is in great condition and Sandgrabbas might help to keep it that way!

          Cheers!

I have them when I first got my 150 and have not regretted it. We spend every second weekend out in the dirt or on the beach and all I have to do it lift the mat out and the sand is all contained.
I have three small kids who like to walk in puddles and mud, keep sand in their shoes and the mats keep it all contained.
            Best purchase to date.

I have had mine for just over 5 years and they still look new. They don't wear the carpet underneath and are easy to remove and clean. Long term you save money and time with these. You might even get them cheaper if you purchase directly from the manufacturer.

Was really happy with http://www.booter.com.au/Cargo-Liner...agon-p162.html (I've a 120 tho) and I have the second row liner too (can't see it on their website), however, I recently scored a 'cheap' 2nd hand set of SG's off Gumtree. They do come up. Even came colour coded (beige). .

Quite an age but still in good nic so gotta be OK?? May throw up my booter kit in the Sale section soon? Looks the goods and appear hardwearing, saving time cleaning!

May not be of interest, but I got the 3D mats off ebay for my 150. All 3 rows + cargo area fit great, don't slide around, and catch all the sand and kids drink spills. Have had them for 9 months now, and seem to be wearing quite well. I spend at least every second weekend on the beach, and they haven't let me down yet, including a week at fraser. Cant remember exactly what I paid for them, but I remember it being significantly less than the SGers.

I've had the Sandgrabber mats for nearly six years and they live permanently in the car. When removed for cleaning the carpet still looks brand new. Wished I hadn't wasted the money on the genuine Toyota mats still sitting in the garage unused. Also got the Sandgrabber dash mat which I hope saves dash from cracking.

I've had them for a few years now and they have been terrific. They keep the liquids, dirt sand and mud contained without spoiling the vehicle and are easy to remove/replace for cleaning. They have stood up to outback touring and general awear and tear. No weak spots.

Well worth the extra, in my book.

Had these for years in Hilux and both of my Prado's. When i replaced them last year the design has changed a bit and the cutout under the accelerator pedal is now gone. I had to cut it out to allow for 100% throttle. and yes it did make a difference.
Sandgrabber tell me it was done because someone had the pedal jam open and was a risk so they changed the pattern.

They are the toughest mats you will find.

Thanks all for some great feedback - it is appreciated.
I will pick up directly from No Bull Accessories in the next few days so will save a few bucks on having no postage.
The big one will be the cargo bay with the wet, sandy dog after a beach trip! Will be able to pull out and hose both the dog and the mat with ease!
                            Cheers,

Had them in my last Prado for 8 years and they were the first item purchased for the 150. Worth every cent.
