  • Distance between roof rails

    Hi,

Can someone measure the distance between the roof rails on the 150 series Prado. Curious to see if the 120 series aero bars will fit the 150 series.

    Thanks

Fairly sure they are the same. My mate bought the same Rhino roof bars for his 120 as my 150 and they fit.

The genuine ones from my old 120 don't fit the 150 and the 150 rails are wider at the rear than the front by about 40 mm

When you say wider do you mean they are thicker at the back than the front. They do run parallel don't they? The aero bars aren't genuine toyota and they have a fair bit of adjustment available in them so I can only hope.
Does anyone know what the genuine 150's version are worth? Might need to have them include them in the new purchase.

        Thanks for the info.

          Definitely not parallel.

Not sure if this helps, but we transferred our aero bars from our forester to the 150. The bars are much shorter than they need to be for an easy fit, but fit with a bit of effort (I would say just perfectly). The bars are 1200 long. There's only about an inch overhang on each side, just enough to get the locking cap back on. The feet were the same part number so no probs there either.

We have a outlander as well as the Prado. We took the rails off the outlander and they fit the prado exactly with no issues or cutting any trim from the rack. So if anyone is looking for second hand roof racks keep an eye out for mitsubishi outlander racks as well.
