  • How to stop the headlights reflecting back off Bull bar and Road signs

Had the ARB deluxe ball bar on my 150 for about a month now and have been doing a bit of night driving, I'm getting a the light reflecting back at me off the back of the bar when I turn on the head lights, any way to minimise this? Also when I switch on the ARB intensity spotties, the road signs shine back very strongly, and I need to switch them off, as its that bad, driving back in the night to Adelaide from Melbourne in a couple of days so I'm wondering if I need to adjust the spotties to project at a lower angle?

I had an Ironman loop bar on my 120 which reflected badly. I was going to etch prime and then paint the surfaces Matt black but in the interim I went to a signwriter and bought an off cut of Matt black vinyl which I fitted instead. It was still there 6 years later when I sold it. I think it cost me about $20? Well worth it and easy to do.

The reflection off signs is just one of those things unfortunately. Worse with high temp HIDs.

If you cannot find any vinyl, try a piece of non reflective tape or a dab of matt black paint.
