Any idea if the black leather interior has black or grey carpet floors? Want to get the bits for the car before I get it.

      Thanks

Sandgrabba car mats are manufactured in Underwood, Queensland at No Bull accessories.

They used to be called Queensland Moulded Car Carpets.
          https://nobullaccessories.com.au/

These folk are wonderfully helpful, and will even manufacture and mold a set of mats "while you wait" if they have some notice that you are coming. (Not that you can do that from Perth) A fiend took their new car to get a set, and they didn't have a design for that particular car, so they measured and moulded and manufactured a set while she waited. From scratch...amazing.

The new (and maybe the facelift Prado I don't know) have an option for a "grey" interior trim..but its not like what most people would call grey...in fact its not grey, it more a dark charcoal (black) colour on the seats and door trim and plastic. The sandgrabba folk recon they are selling more of the black sandgrabba floor mats for cars with that colour trim...so Cuda, if you have purchased a new Prado...it may well have a very dark charcoal trim, (if you specified a grey trim it will virtually be black in colour) and I have seen a set of black sandgrabba mats in a car with that trim and it looks great, but the lighter grey colour would look fine also as Wagon Man says...and probably show less dirt. Give nobullaccessories a call and perhaps they might send you a colour sample, they are really really helpful.

In fact last time I got a set of genuine carpet mats for our Prado and when I heard about the sandgrabbas, I got a set and just put the sandgrabbas over the top of the genuine carpet mats...fitted nicely. It seemed to add more protection and sound deadening, and if you get the sandgrabbas really dirty you can take them out to hose them down and scrub them, and you still have carpet floor mats in the car while the sandgrabbas are drying. It worked really well so I'll do the same again this time. But I'm probably going to put black sandgrabbas this time, given that the new "grey" trim is in fact black in colour!

Darn, I just saw this thread.
Was gonna say, check out 3D mats on ebay.
Poofteenth of the price of sangrabba & they seem to be pretty good so far!
And I have had to pressure wash mud off them a few times with no dramas!

2nd, had mine for just on 2 years now, black to match the black interior of my 2014 model, and they are going strong had everything from Mud to Macca's sauce, chips and icecream. and still going extremly well.

FYI: I bought a sand grabba boot liner for my other (non-prado) car. I found it to be quite reasonable however it does have some issues. The material is it made from is rather like a hard vinyl/plastic rather than your typical rubber mat. The problem with this is that the surface is quite slippery. I have two labradors who aren't big on ice skating and it was impossible to put them in the back without a rug (I ended up buying a non-slip map to cover the boot liner which partially defeats the purpose of buying the liner in the first place). Also, things (that don't bark) will also slide around.. i.e. shopping, cargo and definitely your fishing tackle box!

Next up, the material is probably a few mm thick, and on the backing side is a few mm of soft sponge foam. This doesn't see very sturdy, running your finger nails across the foam is likely to damage it so you need to be careful with them.

Verdict: they are a good mat and probably very well suited to foot wells, the molding is good, but the surface is slippery. If you don't want to deal with this problem perhaps look at an actual rubber mat instead.

I can thoroughly recommend these mats:
                          http://r.ebay.com/NJ6mtL

They are thick, high quality, heavy rubber. Certainly no problem pressure cleaning them on a regular basis.

When you get sand on them, the sand sits in the grooves while your feet rest up on the rubber 'tread' - so it isn't like having your feet sitting in a sand pit.
