Windbooster cruise control problem

I have added a Windbooster 9 mode with i-auto to my 2015 3ltr Prado and while it seems to be working fine I have lost the ability to turn the cruise control on. Cruise control works fine when I disconnect the unit. It also occasionally resets itself back to MT mode. I have it set to AT as mine is an auto. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue at all . Thanks

I had the same problem with mine, but when my cruise wouldn't turn on the Prado wouldn't shift into 5th get either. I found that when I put my foot flat to floor for a second then everything works like normal. I even tried a different brand. I think there might be something wrong with the car it self as a few other people have had the same issue but most of the users have no issues at all. I'm trying to figure out what it could be. Mine is 2012 GX

I had noticed the 5th gear thing a bit but as i have only driven around town thought I just hadn't got up enough speed. I will try the foot to the floor and see what happens but my cruise control doesn't light up on the dash even. Mine is a 2015 altitude

Well bugger me. Foot to the floor for a second and it works like lit should. Cruise control lights back up. Pity you have to do it every time you restart the car. Thanks for your help at least now I can enable the cruise control and 5th gear.

Welcome, I thought that trick was a bit too over the top for me to warrant keeping the wind booster in mine, so I removed it until a solution can be found. I don't want to have to floor it each key cycle. And it will only work when it's in drive. Won't work in park or neutral for mine.

What model is yours? Given that I have to floor it to make it turn on it makes me think it has something to do with voltage on the accelerator but pretty new to this.

Same problem, so I have disconnected mine, shame because the daily drive was greatly improved.

Thanks for the link to the thread. Wish I had know that before I forked out for this. Could have spent that on another mod. I will be the seller today so will let you know how I get on.

2013 GXL Diesel, maybe there is something wrong with your unit. Mine is a 9 mode Windbooster and it really makes the car much nicer and easier to drive.

I was sceptical at first like most people but i love it.

Supplier had asked me to send it back as they have had some issues with a batch . Will post back once the replacement arrives.

The replacement unit wont fix this issue. there is something with the vehicle. I tried 2x different Wind Boosters and I tried another brand E-Drive.
still had the same problems.....

Replacement unit arrived and installed and it's working like it should. Cruise control and 5th gear fixed. I might be one of the lucky ones.

We have been in contact with the manufacturer and working on fixing the issue. Its a strange one as it only happens on the Toyotas. Anyway we are receiving a new batch in the next day or so that has been upgraded to solve these issues.

Is this a confirmed fix? if so, can you please let me know when stock has arrived and I will purchase a new revised unit from you.
I Really like when my one was installed, but not having 5th gear or cruise was a big turn off.
