Windbooster cruise control problem

Just fitted my new 8th Anniversary edition wind booster, still not working with my Prado. Cruise does not turn on and doesn't engage 5th gear! this is the 3rd different one I have tried.

Hi guys trying to get an idea on how widespread the cruise control issue is and if it affects only certain models and/or variants eg. 2012 gx, it is very concerning when a retailer is quite happy to take your cash but are like kiaser sose when there are problems. I have spoken off-road industries in Melbourne and found their honesty refreshing they are a reseller of the windbooster and admit there is a hit and miss problem with all Toyota's. They will sell them to you but with the expectation that it may interfere with the cruise control.

So can anyone with a windbooster installed with and without the cruise control issue tell us the model and variant to see if there is a common link or it really is just the luck of the draw. And also was the fault evident straight away or did it work to start with then develop the cruise control problem.

Hey Ryan,

I have a 2012 April build GX and when the wind booster is connected, I have no cruise function (it doesn't even turn on) and it does not engage 5th gear UNTIL you give it full throttle when the vehicle is running and in gear. until then these functions don't work. then when you start the car again you have to give it full throttle or it wont work.

Hey Guys,
So here is an update. I got my NEW latest Wind booster from Mr Boyce @ 4wdsupplies and it works.
Cruise works properly and engages 5th gear as it should...this is fantastic and the new 2S version is so tiny!!
once again just like to give big thanks to 4wdsupplies.com.au and Mr Boyce for sorting this drama out for me!!
