  • Which Accessory Should I Get Next

    Team,

Question: Im about to have some money in my hands, lets just say its a spare $1k. Should I get my new Pioneer Platform or a Safari Snorkel first?

Neither are what I'd call required, both are very handy additions. I dont currently have any plans that involve deep water or lots of dust. I also have a home made roof rack that can see me through for a bit longer if I need.

I was originally going to get the roof rack, and then save for the snorkel, but now I'm not sure...

    Your thoughts and opinions please...

Depending when your next trip away is and what is needed more.
Usually get 20-30% off Rhino gear in December. Makes a huge difference.

Im not Bogged - I've just lost traction. . . . . and now I'm showing the wife why I bought those Maxtrax, and the tyre deflator, and the compressor, and the bullbar, and the winch, and a lot of other goodies I've hidden in the Prado

The Rhino Rack is the go, they are so easy to add and remove different things like fishing rod holders or shovel clamps and the tie down eyelets can be moved to anywhere. The best part is I can still fit it in the garage with the rack on even with a 2 inch lift. Cheers Dean

I should point out the following:
          • My next planned trip is in either April or November (Vic Border Track or Haunted Stream Respectively)
          • I'm not yet 100% on the Vic Border Trip...
          • I will be able to afford both before November

This may or may not help sway some voters...

I would go the snorkel first. You don't need deep water to get water into the air intake and it is surprisingly easy to do.

I just bought a Safari snorkel for $410 and fitted it myself. Do that and you will have half the cost of the rack as well! :-)

Is the platform the most versatile rooftop storage solution?

I think it is, it's super easy to attach and detach different accessories, but there are probably others similar out there.
