Install bonnet protector

I have a 2016 GXL and need to remove the chrome strip off the front of the bonnet to fit the bonnet protector. Took all the screws out but it appears stuck on either end. Can anyone tell me if the ends are glued or clipped etc....don't want to just yank it off and break something. thanks in advance

There is double sided tape holding down the ends. Just pull of as Gently as possible.
I fitted the same to a 2016 VX

A cosmetic tip for installing the bonnet protector, before fitting the metal "Z" brackets to the vehicle, prime & paint the clips to match the body paint.
