  • Average price for TJM outback/ ARB bar and fitting 2016 ?..

Gday crew, New here- finally got myself a decent bus 2010 prado VX and need to get a bar on her asap- Cant seem to find an updated price past 2014,
In the land of Tas and seem to be quoted a grand over what the lads over in WA or Brissy are being charged.
TJM quote for bar $ 2200 fog lights included plus approx 400 fitting.
ARB $1700 for bar but with fog light/looms extra 180 plus 500 fitting..
Prefer the TJM as good rep for fitting(smaller family business- good to support ) but have seen threads dating back 2014- that bar can be supplied & fitted from $2000 ?? Shed some light on me...cheers

    Hi,

The ARB price seems pretty standard to me. Same sort of money as NSW. I got a deal but I also went for D/L and winch so they wore the fitting charges.

Thanks John, wish I could get them to wear the fitting charges mate- not as much margin here i don't think tried the option of winch & snorkel to see if it'd be cheaper but more fitting costs included..Limited fitters here for the job.

In the scheme of what you've spent on the vx the $500 isn't much - just pay it and get the bar you like the most and get a good fitter to do it, saving money isn't everything otherwise you could of bought something cheaper than a Prado?

Hence the Question mate, limited fun tickets left..
Thought i was goin ok untill i see threads where blokes get the things fitted for free- if there was enough feedback on that i was going to push for it.
Ps the VX was second hand & a pretty good price compared to what else was around..
