Snorkel Query

Hi Guys - It's been a long time since I've posted as I sold my 120, went to a 3 lettered German SUV (which was great but not capable off-road) and am looking at buying a new 2018 Prado. My question is that apparently Safari haven't made a new snorkel due to the facelift and my other option is a genuine Toyota one. Would anyone know if there's much difference between the two please?

I understand the snorkel didn't change from the 1KD to the 1GD so I'd think the '18 model would be the same - unless the front fender is a different shape?

My lease company has told me this so I actually haven't investigated yet but may have to do some research because I agree with you but who knows until they do

TJM do the airtec snorkel which looks great. I have one on order for my MY18 prado.

WOW that is some crazy rain to have dumped that much water into the box! I like the Safari as you can get the ram head covers as I plan on doing a lot of outback trips such the 5 corners and Cape in 2020.

That's what I was told also....happy to wait for a Safari as I prefer the ram head. I actually had an Iron Man one on my 120 D4D and it was perfect.

I got the airtech installed
mid last year and I have no complaints.

the airtech suits the 150 more imo and is less likely to get caught on tree branches but you are unable to turn the head around like you can with the safari.

Airtec do snorkels with a "Safari" type head, I just don't know if they do it for the 150 Prados. Can anyone confirm?

Airtech only do the one style for the 150.

I’d see if Ironman 4x4 do a snorkel for the 2018 Prado, be cheaper than the Safari... I’m not a fan of the airtec snorkel heads, no drain holes at the base of the head and the inability to turn it around if needed...

Safari confirmed to me overnight that they are expecting to have something to market late April
