Hi All

Just thought I would share an image of my new 150 Series VX with the prototype TJM T15 Polished Alloy installed. TJM have borrowed my car to test fit. This bar has the mounts for the OE front bumper sensors and is a full bumper replacement, no cutting required. Once the bar is finished and re installed I will colour code the bumper infill panels to the same colour as the car. IMO I think it looks fantastic, it really changed the look of my new Prado and I cannot wait for it to be installed once finished.

Did they let you in on the price of it fitted?

I wonder it they would charge less if you get lots of work done like snorkel, bullbar, spotties etc.

The genuine Toyo on the 150 has more of the Dame Edna look. I don't like either the Toyo or TJM bar shown here. Just dosn't do it for me.

If you take a close look at the original front bumper and the 'no cutting required TJM' bar, you may ask yourself whether or not there was cutting involved or replacement bits added. The portion I'm talking about is the bit next to the front grill. Either side is attached to the front bumper. In the pic with the TJM bar it looks a tad different colour, maybe due to the light I'm not sure. I asked the TJM dealer in Darwin and he said that cutting would be required and from looking at my bumper to the pics provided (unable to upload pics at the moment) I have to agree with the dealer.

I'm in favor of the TJM bar, looks better than the Ironman bar. As a piece of metal sticking out the front, what really is it's purpose - to look good, or mount a winch, cost of the bull bar or help give a tad more protection than the standard plastic bumper? No matter what you decide, everyone has their own opinion either for or against.

Hi Bobcat, No bumper cutting required at all, apart from the inner wheel arch guards that will need to be trimmed due to the improved front approach angle. My car is sitting in the garage with the original bumper re installed until this bar is finished and ready for final fitment. The parts you refer to beside the grille and below the head lights are a 2 piece plastic infill panel, once the bar is finished and the infill panels are ready I will colour code them to my car. I have post a different image for you with a bit of a better view of the plastic infill panels.

Thanks for that. When the dealer reckons 'no cutting required' and hasn't fitted one yet, I'm a bit on the back foot and would rather my $60K plus car not be a demo unless I get a ripper deal.

Thanks for the look. Have a ZR and looking to put a bullbar on. First time with a 4WD so not sure of brands or capabilities of each. Not sure to go for Toyota, ARB or TJM. Toyota quoted $3500 installed, ARB was $2300 with colour coding and fog light kit and don't know re TJM. Salesman from ARB suggested alloy bars were not as strong as steel and would damage easier. I would appreciate any thoughts.
