Hi Everyone,
I would like to hear people's experience with dual camera setups on their cars.
I have recently installed a Kaymar dual wheel carrier. I found it easier to have the passenger wheel carrier permanently in position and only install the second carrier, driver side, when I do longer outback trips. I also do fairly regular 4x4 trips and I have various attachments on the wheels i.e. rubbish bags, Maxtrax etc. I also installed myself an aftermarket reverse camera, Polaris with a 4 cameras option screen. Initially, prio to the Kaymar rear bar, the camera, a 170 degree field of vision, was installed at an angle just above the number plate, this position was reasonable to enable me to view around the car as well as the towball. With the dual wheel carrier, I relocated the camera on the door between the wheels, this really is only suitable for viewing the towball, we tow a horse float fairly regularly, the view is restricted for just normal reverse viewing. I am thinking of placing the second camera on the rear windshield, just above the rear wiper. Can I please have people's thoughts on this, maybe more suitable alternatives, is it easy to remove the plastic cover so that I can wire the second camera and attach it there?
Thanks in advance
