Thanks Ben, I love the look of it and even better, so does the wife. It's 3mm steel and looks well built, there is a little splatter in the hard to reach but un-noticeable places. I used a local panel shop to paint it as a cashie and he did a great job, I paid a little extra to have it all painted, inside and out! I love it and I am so glad I went for the colour coded steel over the alloy.

Ow and Dan, if you don't mind, what coin did the bar cost you?

The finance minister has just given me the go ahead based on your pic!!!

Yes I was thinking of doing the same, taking my bar to a local paint shop to get a better match.

I got a special price on it as TJM head office have used my car a few times now to test fit things to it as it is the VX and they have a GXL but I do know it retails at $1650 plus fitting.

Cool, so did you fit after painting or did you take it back to get fitted?

I am guessing that because of the airbags etc these bars are not a self fit option or am I wrong?

This week will be spent getting some ideas of how to get my hands on one in Sydney.

Scrub my last comment, I just read your build post. I hope you don't mind but I think I am going to have to build a NSW version of your rig, it is exactly what I am looking for.

A mate and I fitted it on Friday night / Saturday morning. It was not that bad to fit as you do not have to cut the bumper. Wiring the indicators and park lights was the hardest and it pays to take note of what you remove and unplug, I learnt the hard way with a 45 minute session of pants crapping over one of the HID headlights not working... Turned out it was a plug but I had to remove some parts of the bar to get to it and plug it back in.

Easy done mate, if you need any info at all let me know, only to happy to help. If you are keen on swapping you 17" alloys for my 18" alloys let me know... :mrgreen: :wink: that is the only thing I am missing, some decent rubber due to my rim size.

I have TJM Bar on my car, looks great yet today thanks to Col at B&R Sydney we took the inserts from TJM out and cut the OE Front bar and lined it with Boot rubber to seal.. .. It look very neet and that gap is gone but not a tight fit.

Sorry for the delay, I have just been lazy. I took these last night with my iPhone. 1st image is with no fog lights on and the 2nd is with the fog lights on. With the fog lights off you can see the front uprights but it does not bother me, the photo has made it look much worse then it actually is.

Sorry for the quality but I could not be buggered getting the SLR, plus it was to cold :mrgreen:

Fitting the bar Like what? Bar still bolts in same place.? the TJM Bits htey sent did not match up like OE Bar.. if they matched up OK maybe but this looks a lot better I think...
