Hi guys, just bought my first 4WD ever (2010 Prado) which came with a few extras and I'm still trying to learn my way around them. I hope this is the right forum to ask this question at, and apologies if it should've been elsewhere.
The car came with a ethernet connection (which I later learned was called RJ45 passthrough or something along those lines) in one of the dummy buttons under the H4/L4 selector, next to the centre diff lock button.
I believe this is related to a UHF radio? I couldn't find one in the car, so not sure if there is one mounted hidden inside the panels or if the last owner removed it prior to selling. Is there an easy way of checking if it's all there or if this is just a "blank" connection?
I'm lost to the point that even if I end up buying one, I still have no idea what this socket is even used for, and how to connect it to the UHF unit.
There is an antenna at the bullbar, but I also don't know if that's supposed to be everything or if the last owner removed part of it. It's just a little stub with a screw on top. Seems like the actual antenna should be screwed into the stubby thing.. again, not sure how these things work! (it looks like the one in post 7 from this topic)
