Just bought a towbar from parkside towbars in Perth. They dont sell the wiring harness and im wndering if you can get an aftermarket wiring harness and if not how much for the toyota genuine one?

Genuine trailer harness 7 pin flat (PZQ61 60230) was purchased for $128.70

The Hayman Reece bar certainly looks a bit neater.

Does anyone know if there is a difference in ball height between the genuine and Hayman?

I've got a TAG towbar. Looks Neat as and tucks up higher than toyota bar without cutting into bumper. I always used HR in the past but as someone else mentioned, I was told HR are not as strong for the 150.

Afer having read all the threads regarding the Toyota v HR towbars I'm still not convinced anyone has swayed me one way or the other. Seems the HR is cheaper. I've had a quote for $750 installed v the Toyota Bar around $1200. But a couple of threads reckon the HR isn't as strong. Apparently there is a new version HR bar out for the 150 series - does anyone know if it is an improvement on the previous model? Also, it appears the HR bar requires some cutting into the bumper bar like the Toyota unit - I was hoping to avoid this but if it looks neat it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Look forward to some opinions....

Thanks . Looks good - I think the price difference of nearly $450 has made up my mind for me - 'One Stop Shop Australia' will come out to my place and install on site as well. Thanks again..PS: Like the tyres too....Paul

I had my Toyota Tow Bar installed at my 1000 klm check up and it only cost $850.
I didn't even ask how much it was going to cost this was there standard price I think?
I would try another dealer...

One dealer wanted $1400 - I don't think they were interested in doing it. But the dealer where I bought the car said today he would do it for just over $1000 given I purchased the vehicle from them...not sure why they are so expensive in Victoria?
