Vinyl floor

Hi all,


has anyone switched out the carpet floor for vinyl? Does Toyota do a genuine part for this or would I need to go aftermarket. Any info would be appreciated.

I bought a MY2016 GX second-hand. Ex rental, ex mining area - and it's been fine apart from red dust under all sorts of things, that missed the cleaning process!

It came with vinyl floor covering. It was only after several weeks that I discovered that it had the original carpet. The vinyl is such a good fit that I thought it was original. As I said, the vehicle was second hand, so I don't know if the added floor cover was from Toyota or aftermarket. I suggest you talk to your local dealer or dealer's spares counter. Otherwise, you could try the Toyota Australia owners support line. I have found them to be helpful on other matters.

If you cannot find full vinyl floor mats. I have dished mat similar to Streetwize floor mats which are dished shape. The mats contain debris and water well.
Water soaked neoprene boots releasing water into the floor mat needs emptying before driving as the water might slop out.
Mats fit under the pedals of my 2019 GXL without trimming.
I take out the driver's floor mat when it goes for a dealer service as the mat is not locked to the floor. My mats don't move though.
