Hello all, this my first post on this forum, so apologies if I am not following proper etiquette, or if this has been asked before (I did have a look, but my question is quite specific).
I have recently purchased a 2012 KDJ150R (love it) and I’m looking for a bull-bar - it’s currently the stock bumper, which has a few scratches.
I should also add that I’ve never carried out any body mods to any car before, so my understanding of how this all works may be off, so feel free to correct me if/where I am wrong!
So the question:
I really like the look of bull-bars I’ve seen on the newer 2018+ Prados, but I can’t seem to find any that match that aesthetic for my 2012 Prado.
I’m specifically looking for a bull-bar that ‘replaces’ the entirety of the stock bumper panel, rather than having to cut into it at the wheel arches. I’ve attached some photos to try to illustrate what I’m talking about.
If any of you could recommend a bull-bar that doesn’t require cutting into the existing bumper panel, but rather replaces it entirely, please let me know! Also let me know if my explanation makes no sense and I’ll try to clarify…
‘Older-style’ that ‘cuts in’ to the bumper at the wheel arches:
Newer style that doesn’t cut the bumper, but ‘replaces’ it entirely:
