TJM T13 bull bar - where's the bash plate?

G'day All, to those who have fitted at T13 bull bar to their Prado 150 series, did yours come with a bash plate? I'm a bit concerned as the bottom of the air con system is vulnerable. Did TJM forget to fit the plate or is it an optional extra that no one mentioned to tell me? The side 'wings' have been installed, just nothing in the middle. Thoughts?

It looks like it has not been fitted, mine has a guard that came with the bar. I would be calling your dealer on Monday.

I emailed the photo to TJM head office yesterday. I rang TJM in Darwin where I got the bar fitted and they guy I spoke said that head office had already contacted him this morning finding out what happened. There is supposed to be a plate there.....why wasn't it fitted??? no one knows that one. It wasn't in the kit and they can't find it in the workshop. I'm not driving back to Darwin 3 hr one way trip to get it fixed.

Will be interested to find out where the process failed. Will keep you all updated.

If yours is a colour coded one I think you will find it will be still at whoever paints TJM Darwins bars, there should be nine parts to colour code...

Main Bar
Left Hand Wing Plate
Right Hand Wing Plate
Underbody Guard
Winch Cover Plate
4 x Plastic parts of the bumper infill panel.

The wing plates are black so I reckon the bash plate will also be black. Rang the store this arvo and they found the plate. Considering it's a 700km round trip that I do about every 6 weeks, I asked if they could send it down the a rep near me. The guy said that it would cost him money and prefer me to pick it up. I said no and send it down as I don't want be out on the trails and get a stick through the front of the air con system. It was their fault and I'm not paying to up there and back when it will cost them about $50 to get it sent down. I'll probably have to fit it myself, but you never know, the local rep nearby seems pretty good.

Noticed there was some shadowing with the lights at night. Turn on the fog lights and it does away.

Apart from all this drama, I'm pretty happy with the bar.

Got the bash plate and fitted it myself. Still happy with the bar overall, service could have been better. Not sure where they found the plate but I reckon it wasn't too far away.
