Which Bar TJM, ARB, Ironman

Folks,

having a hell of a time deciding which colour coded bar to put on the Blue Storm GXL. Does anyone have an opinion on advantages or disadvantages of any particular bar out of the TJM 13, ARB Deluxe and Ironman Protection winch bars.

What should I be paying for each. Seems so far in Mackay Qld it is around the $2400 mark for TJM and ARB with Ironman being aboout $1700 (not colour coded).

I notice in a recent video the TJM bar has one its eye brows popped out of a mounting but am assured this was not a production model and this issue has been fixed.

Any advice woould be appreciated becasue bottom line I can't afford a mistaken purchase.

I got the ARB for $2250 from Mackay. PM me if you would like to have a good look at the Deluxe bar. Personal preference really. 4WD action did a review on all the different bars and the ARB scored up at the top.

We went the ARB Prado 150 Winch Bar (part No 010 3421450 ) with fog light kit & blue storm Colour coding from Mackay ARB it was $2400 . the wiring was a bit crappy, they got the painting done local about a weeks wait, but over all a good job

Ive got a blue storm on order to gets there 21 September I have a TJM bar on order. Getting it colour coded at a local spray painter TJM to dear.
I picked the blue storm because I hadnt seen many other ones in Mackay now it looks like there at lest 3 there.

I think a recent 4wd magazine just have an article on bull bars. They actually rated everything from installation to actual colisions. I can't remember how many bars they tested or which ones, but If I find it at home I will put up the details for you.

It's personal preference. I was a dedicated ARB fan (had the winch bar on my 100 for 10 years), but I ended up with the TJM T13 for the 150 because in my opinion it is styled much better for this car. Holden vs Ford argument - does it really matter?

Have decided on a TJM becasue in the end 'she' said so.

+ 1 . less autosol product i have to use , the better.

there is a 150 down the road from me with a blue arb bar, it honestly makes the car look a whole lot "tougher" definently a good job done by these companies to make the front end look better.

still with a 120 :P but the 150 will grow on us 120's people eventually i rekon. give it time.

Had the same decision as you, and just ordered the ARB bar for installation at end of the month - the reason - the misses thought it looked better than the TJM, as did I. Go with what you like the look of, both will do the same job.

Has anyone out there had an ARB sahara bar fitted. I have a new silver Prado and would love to see what the sahara looks like. I keep looking and have never seen one. Any photos much appreciated. One final question, with the weight of a steel bar, do I need to upgrade the suspension or can I get away with it?

TJM is the best bar
ARB sticks out way too much and makes the car look crap, plus cutting the bumper is an after thought in my opinion.

I have had the TJM bar fitted and love it.
