Which bar, Sahara or Deluxe on VX

Hi guys.I am new to this forum.
I have recently bought a 2010 VX. Looking to put on a bar in the near future. Have read there is a shadowing problem with the ARB deluxe bar with the HID headlights. Has anyone had any issues with this bar? ARB recommend the Sahara bar for this model but I am a little concerned that there is not as much protection. I would be keen to hear any feedback on either of these bars.

There're photos of the shadowing on the forums as well as many photos of both the deluxe bar and the sahara bar. Try using the search up on the top right corner.

I've opted to go for a sahara bar due to the shadowing, but also because I preferred the look. There are also pretty hard to come by on the roads, making it somewhat of a gem :wink: It's all a matter of personal preference.

I will see if I can find some pictures. Have you experienced any rubbing with your Sahara bar as I believe it is the same steel bottom section as the Deluxe bar?
Off to the 4WD show to see if there any special deals.

TJM equivalent to ARB Deluxe is cheaper. Just throwing it out there.

My sahara bar is still on order, due to be fitted late next month. Will be happy to comment on the "rubbing" when I do get it. However, I believe the rubbing comes from the gap not being sufficient enough hence the vibration damage while driving...

4WD shows aren't all that great to be honest, I've been to so many of them. The best cars are often found in the carparks of the 4x4 show!!

Can someone confirm the diameter of the pipe section above the headlights?

I'm trying to order antenna mounts before it all arrives so I can install straight away, but have the options of 45, 50, 63 and 76mm. If someone could confirm this, that would be much appreciated.

For those playing at home, a tailors tape measuring the outside circumference divided by 3.14 will give us the diameter.

Just measured the circumference of the Hoop on my Sahara bar... 240mm /3.14 gives you 76.4mm

50mm (well 48.14mm to be exact) on an ARB deluxe combination bar for VX Model. Measured with digital vernier calipers.
