GX Cargo Barrier Problem

Hi all,
I was booked in to have an Ausguard cargo barrier fitted this morning by Caddy Storage out at Blacktown.
I have a GX 7 seater however I've removed the 3rd seats with the plan of fitting a barrier and then building up a false floor and a drawer system for an upcoming trip, however after trying to fit both a GX and a GXL barrier they came to the conclusion that they would not fit.
The problem lies in the fact that once the seats are removed their barrier is too short to be able to secure the brackets to the tie down points that would normally be there on a 5 seater and the profile of the barrier does not line up with the curve of the wheel arch trims.
In the end the conclusion was that one would have to be custom made and they would require my car for 4 days which was totally out of the question in my case.
I don't know if this problem is generic to other brands and I assume that it would be, but maybe someone here has encountered the same problem and has found a solution or maybe someone is contemplating it and needs to be aware of the problem.

Hi . I have an ausguard cargo barrier came with the vehicle same model 07 GX . Since pull it out and no longer required .
Mine sat directly behind the 2nd row seats and around the wheel archers . Snug fit all round .

I did not like the way mine was fitted, so when I put in my floor (after taking ot the seats) I put a couple of brackets in going up to the barrier. If you are going to put in some draws etc, why not just bolt to that?

I'm getting draws for my 150 gx on the 8th of may. I have opted for the outback drawer system.
I have been told that i will be able to get half cargo barrier to suit draws. I am only going for the
drawer system for now because my budget has been blown on X-ray HID spots and the drawers.
Cargo barrier in will be put on in the near future.
