Vibration at 1500rpm 3 door Sx

Has anyone attempted to remove the noisy vibration on the left side of the windscreen as the motor passes through 1500 revs? Dealer is aware of the problem and suggests removing the windscreen and breaking some tab to reduce the noise.

Treat anything that a dealer tells you with suspicion. They speak with forked tongue!
