Hello Chris220220,
Can you post the name and address of your repairer so that I can check with him. I will not just go along with the first ideas suggested by my insurance company and your repairer sounds better than cutting the top off. Of course your damage may be different to mine but I am grasping at any options at present.
regards
Ross

Hi Ross. Bears in Lipton drive Thomastown did the assesment and will be doing the repair work. Claimed through RACV.
They told my wife it could be repaired as the dints did not break the paint and were not really deep dints.Chris220220 Finally a Prado owner

Hello all,
I finished up taking my Prado to a Toyota dealer who runs his own panel beating establishment to be repaired. The saga took months to resolve via insurance and waiting for appointments and the assessment process. ie Christmas day until 25th May. I decided on the dealer route to ensure that my Toyota standard and extended warranty and my insurance lifetime warranties were ultimately held by the same organisation and I wasn't paying directly.
Finished up with a new bonnet, paintless and conventional repairs to roof, paintless to 4 mudguards and 2 door, conventional to 2 doors and the roof rails. Total cost $9828 with a new windscreen.
Looks pretty good but there are some almost invisible marks around when I look closely. Panel beater had the car from 26th April until 25th May.
Alls well that ends.
regards
Ross
