60 next year is a bit older than 28 now. Don't worry about birthdays that much now, just taking it easy.

Retired, drive the Prado (sometimes with the missus on board), drink wine, go fishing, vege garden and fruit trees to look after, body surf at the beach most of the year (except winter)!

If you don't bash the crap out of your Prado, it should last quite a while.

Thanks for all the input everyone I appreciate it, thinking I will go ahead with it. I realise it doesn't appear to be a fault across every model but at the same time having forked out the cash for the new car I'd rather not see it got to bits. Thanks again.

      Cheers,

You will have bull bar envy everytime you see a 150 fitted with one.

Personally i dont worry about it at all ....though i admit looking for the first time recently a few weeks ago after returning from a 7000km trip. Ive nearly 38k on the clock and an estimated 6000km or more of that on dirt with an ARB bar/spotties/dual battery fitted, i also sold my 120 with 160k on it with similar gear plus a winch and no problems with it either.

If we spent this life worrying about what might happen i probably wouldnt drive at all

When driving I also sometimes think about all the bad things that could happen and end up freaking myself out... Sometimes those things involve attack bears and sharks, and aliens, and other weird shit. Maybe I shouldn't drive...

            Wooley,

They are 'drop bears' over here in the east, and yes, the occasional young tourist still thinks they exist.

And if you see an alien, drive faster, otherwise:

'he will want you to bend over and touch your toes, etc, etc." hahaha. Don't know why a lot of people think that aliens are only interested in playing with our arses. Must be what they are smoking...

Wooley I know I don't have enough posts up yet to sell stuff on here yet, but if you are interested I have a genuine anti attack keyring(may look similar to the free CMI key ring but that is just coincidence), it deters bears, attack bears, drop bears and aliens to name a few. It works 100% of the time I have never had any of them hassle me, it will rust if you take it in salt water though so you will have to find something else for the sharks, given that the value of a life is priceless, I will let you have it for the discounted price of $1000.
