rattle back door/alignment

hey guys have noticed after many 100's klm on dirt roads that the back door is rattling more and the door seems to have dropped on the lock/handle side ie it takes more effort to squeeze the handle to open it and it seems to be riding up on the door stricker to close, any help appreciated, wont be home till sunday to start sorting out the rattles etc...

Hi Brownie,

They all drop slowly.
My theory is dust, & lots of open/close wears it faster.
You can either adjust it at the hinges to get it back to where it was.
Or you can do it he panel beaters way, open it slightly, put the trolley jack & a block of wood under it, gently jack it up & release & check, bit by bit it will slightly twist things back. Once it stays where it should be, you should be right.

A similar problem also after a few thousand K's on the dirt recently. Bloody thing is driving me mad so I plan to have a play with the hinges this weekend. I just hope nothing is bent cracked etc after 2 separate smacks in the backend driving with the dills in Adelaide traffic.

You can loosen the hinges off on the body and give the door a good heave up and realign it , i have done a few , you have need to give the striker a wack wth the hammer to get it lined up better as there isn't alot of adjustment on it
