        Now boys, behave!

I had paint protection on the 95 series but didn't bother with the 150, not sure if the previous owner got it done when new. I have some lovely bush pin stripes now and would rather they weren't there because I notice such things, didn't think to give the Kaka a good waxing before taking her out in the bush.

Fido I don't know where you were heading with your post, we all know the half shaved possum is a superior visage than the imported Brazilian possum. How deep are the scratches? You may be able to take them out with a quality RO polisher.

Well I wasn't going to go there but since you mention it I'll just say the Brazillian possum will provide a superior buffing surface being much smoother than the Aussie half shaved variety.

Not through to bare metal but I'd say they've gone through the top coat. Haven't tried to polish them out yet since I'll probably add some more. Don't these polishing compounds remove some paint each time you use them?

Polishing removes a minuscule amount of the paint or clear coat surface but a good quality polisher won't burn through paint unless you stuff it up. Can you feel the scratches with a fingernail? If not they will polish out easily. Otherwise depends on the depth. Always wise to check paint thickness before major surgery but not a standard tool in the toolbox, I'm lucky enough to borrow one from work.

The half shave gives a smooth surface for hand rubbing but also a section of fur that you can use the suede brass bristled brush on for a superior glossy sheen.

I'll check the scratches out in the morning, it's cold enough outside to freeze a possum's gonads tonight.

This fusion paint protection does warranty against bat shit, they will respray affected area if it can't be cleaned or if it is cleaned but damaged is caused. The fine print is that you can't clean it off yourself unless you use the cleaners they provide and if it looks like u might damage it dont touch it or warranty void...

I Googled this question and found this thread. It's a bit dated but I am sure there are probably others searching for answers as well.
Paint protection is way overpriced/waste of money.
I found an informative post on the topic here... http://ryanthenegotiator.com.au/wort...ar-dealership/
On a plus note, the aftermarket lady can be hot and is often dressed to impress :-)

Yeah our after sales lady was dressed to kill, boobs hanging out, short skirt, was very hard to concentrate when she was bending over to get the brochures from the filing cabinet, she mentioned some thing on the prices she was showing my wife and I while smiling. In the end the only thing I got was floor mats and not even a good by, and that smile went from her face as well. Not sure if my wife was smiling or not, cant remember.............Cheers Steve

I seem to recall the lady at CMI where we bought both of ours was smoking hot it didn't help her sell us any extras though.

                            Cheers Andrew

Hmm see now I'm a bit worried, I had two attractive ladies try the hard sell on me but in the end they put me onto a 'happy' chap who took off where they left off... Now i'm thinking they must have thought I was that way inclined.
